Consulting in Organization – Flow simulation
DPC acquired expertise in industrial flows (physical and information flows) simulation studies with the implementation of reactive production analysis and control. DPC uses simulation tools to develop a more efficient organization, which takes into account all production stress, hazard stress, and human capacity stress.
The studies provide different solutions and scenarios to analyze and compare in order to make better decisions.
The simulation flows analysis helps to better:
- Define the management rules and the steering flows,
- Define the stock capacity,
- Define the performance indicators (KPI),
- Highlight the needed resources (operators, fork-lift truck, bridge…).
Methodology for a flow simulation study :
→ Collection of information
• Interviews and field surveys : Value Stream Mapping, measurement of cycle time, failures, …
→ Modeling and Performance Diagnosis
• The model must provide the same performance as the organization studied,
• Identification of flow constraints and measure their impact on overall performance.
→ Flow Study
• Modeling and design of action plans to achieve the project objectives,
• Comparison of different scenarios for better decision making.
